chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency

I finally, belatedly added “chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) treatment (University of Ferrera and Bellaria Hospital, Bologna)” to the phase 2 list. I was going to keep the list to drugs/stem cells, but the more I think about it the less sense that makes, so I’m including any disease-modifying treatment that is in clinical trials. There are likely to be several trials testing the actual treatment of CCSVI (using angioplasty or stents) starting in 2010 – building on the study done by Zamboni et al – although I don’t believe any of the trials yet have final approval and/or funding to proceed. The potential trials could include UBC (Vancouver), Stanford, Buffalo, Albany and Pszczyna, Poland.
